Helping the right buyers get into the right chair.
A sleep recovery recliner isn't a casual purchase. We've structured every payment and reimbursement path so the chair gets to the people who need it, regardless of how they need to pay for it.
Medicare Coverage on the Lift Mechanism
Medicare Part B covers the lifting mechanism of a power lift chair as Durable Medical Equipment. The reimbursement is typically around $300 toward the motor portion, contingent on a properly completed CMS-849 Certificate of Medical Necessity from your physician.
You qualify if you meet all four of these criteria: you have severe arthritis of the hip or knee or a severe neuromuscular disease; you're completely unable to stand from a regular chair without assistance; once standing, you can walk (with or without an assistive device); and your physician determines that the lift chair will improve your condition or slow its deterioration.
The SomniCline's power lift mechanism is engineered to qualify as a seat-lift apparatus under Medicare's DME definition. We provide an itemized invoice that separates the lifting mechanism cost from the rest of the chair, so your CMS-1490S reimbursement filing has the documentation it needs.

Affirm Financing
0% APR financing for qualifying buyers, with terms from 3 to 36 months. Pre-qualify in 60 seconds with no impact to your credit score. The full chair price spread across monthly payments often makes the SomniCline less expensive per night than the over-the-counter sleep aids, wedge pillows, and chiropractic visits people stack to compensate for a bed that doesn't fit their body.
HSA & FSA Eligibility
The SomniCline qualifies as an HSA or FSA-eligible medical expense when prescribed by a physician for a specific qualifying condition. Talk to your benefits administrator about Letter of Medical Necessity requirements — we can provide the product documentation to support your claim.
Veterans Discount
Active-duty service members, veterans, and immediate family members receive 10% off through SheerID verification at checkout. The verification is automated and the discount is applied before payment.
Medicare Advantage Plans
If you have a Medicare Advantage plan (Part C) instead of traditional Medicare, your coverage may be broader than the traditional Part B benefit — some plans cover a larger portion of the chair, and some require prior authorization before purchase. Call your plan's member services line before buying and ask specifically about lift chair coverage and prior authorization requirements.
What we don't do
We don't bill Medicare directly. The reimbursement structure under traditional Medicare requires you to either purchase from a Medicare-enrolled DME supplier (we are not currently one) or pay upfront and file the CMS-1490S yourself. We chose the second path because it lets us keep the full chair price competitive — DME supplier markups on the non-covered portions of lift chairs typically eat the reimbursement value. For most buyers, the math favors buying directly from us and filing the paperwork yourself.
